Hold your breath Gamers – PS4 is here

The much talked about event from Sony on Feb 20th in  New York city will announce the latest revelations of the long  awaited PlayStation 4, paving the way for the console gaming to step into the next generation. Sony is taking a lesson from the punch given by Microsoft earlier in the form of Xbox 360 in November 2005.  The topic has been in the gossip circles of the gaming world regarding of the release of PlayStation 4 before the declaration of the next gen Xbox 360 in 2013 – just in time for the big E3 Gaming Show in Los Angeles in June’ 13.  Either way, both of these releases are going to be a boom for the console gaming folks.

According to the rumors, there are a lot of expected noticeable changes which Sony is going to implement on the PS 4. According to a Videogames website Kotaku, the technical specifications of the PS4 would be:

System Memory – 8GB

Video Memory – 2.2 GB

CPU – 4x Dual-Core AMD64 “Bulldozer” (so, 8x cores)

GPU – AMD R10xx

Ports – 4x USB 3.0, 2x Ethernet

Drive – Blu-Ray

HDD – 160GB

Audio Output – HDMI & Optical, 2.0, 5.1 & 7.1 channels.

Also one of the major noticeable facts is that the new controller for the PS4 console is called the Orbis Development tool which has almost all of the features of the Dual Shock Controller but with a single difference in the form of a touchpad, which recognizes two point multi-touch and set up for an additional input interface. Also the next gen console is going to feature “multi-simultaneous logins” which is going to allow multiple users to sign into their respective accounts on a single console at the same time. Also the console is expected to sync with mobile devices and share data across two devices featuring the Multiscreen Gaming for the gamers.  So gamers get ready to accelerate the gaming experience!
